ANZSNP 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting 2014

The ANZSNP 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 39th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian Division of the International Academy of Pathology Limited (IAP) to be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June 2014.

THE GUEST SPEAKER IS INTERNATIONAL NEUROPATHOLOGIST, PROFESSOR GREGORY N. FULLER, FROM THE  M.D. ANDERSON CANCER CENTRE, HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA.

Gregory N. Fuller, MD, PhD

Professor and Chief Neuropathologist

M D Anderson Cancer Center

Houston, Texas 

Dr. Fuller was born in Houston, Texas, and received an MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine and a PhD degree in Neuroscience from The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences; both institutions are located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. He completed Anatomic Pathology residency and a Neuropathology Fellowship under the mentorship of Peter C. Burger and F. Stephen Vogel at Duke University before joining the faculty of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1992, where he is currently Professor of Neuropathology, as well as Director of the Automated Image Analysis Laboratory. Dr. Fuller is actively engaged in patient care as Chief of the Section of Neuropathology, and also has an active research program centered on mechanisms of glioma progression and invasion, and molecular classification of brain tumors. He is an Editorial Board member of ten scientific journals and was President of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) in 2011-12. Dr. Fuller has published over 240 peer-reviewed scientific research papers, 50 book chapters, and two textbooks: Practical Review of Neuropathology and Genomic and Molecular Neuro-Oncology.
